International Yoga – Day 21st June 2023

Yoga enthusiasts have geared up to celebrate the 9th edition on June 21. It is a priceless gift from Indian culture to globe. It has emerged as an effective instrument to improve physical and mental health. This time for the First stance our respected prime minister shree Narendra Modi will preside over the global yoga celebrations from the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA.

In seeking Spiritual peace in addition to immune booster people now are looking toward ancient tool of yoga for mental peace in this fast-pace world.Yoga not only enhances a person’s physical health, but it also balances spiritual well-being. It helps in lowering stress of a body. It is an Journey that one takes from self to self and through it’s inner self.

The current theme for Yoga, 2023 is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which encompasses desire for “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” It is celebrated by people all around the world on every year on 21st June since its inception on 2015 by United Nation on Global stage. Its origin is traced back to ancient period in India.

Narendra Modi on 2014 in his UN address suggested an Annual Day of Yoga on June 21 as it is the longest day of the year and shares a significance in many parts of the world. In 2015 Reserve Bank of India issued a 10 rupee commemorative coin to mark the International Day of Yoga.

While the outside world is sometime beyond of our control, the inside world is always under our control
